What should I wear?
We would like everyone to dress up with us; cocktail attire is requested, but have fun with it! Think bright, loud, and fashionably fun! Neon, sequins, and over-the-top looks are all welcome! Of course if you'd rather keep it classic-, that's great too! Go big & bold, or go simple... just come ready to party!
Can I bring a guest or more family members?
Due to limited capacity, we are only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If you received a plus one, or additional family members, you will see them listed when you RSVP on our site.
What time should I arrive?
Since this is just a reception, we encourage you to arrive promptly at 7pm to ensure you can find your table, grab a drink, grab some hors d'oeuvres, and be seated before our big entrance at 7:30 (we want to enjoy the entire party too!)
You don't want to get caught waiting in the lobby, because once things kick off, there's nonstop fun planned, and we don't want you to miss anything!
How long is the party?
We're going until midnight, with last call shortly before. After the party is over, anyone who'd like to keep going with us are invited to Pappas' Bar & Restaurant, a short sidewalk trip from the venue!
Why two dates?
We know that not everyone could make it to our big day in Greece, so we've added a party in Baltimore for everyone to come celebrate in November with us!
Why Greece?
On July 24, 1955, one month short of 70 years to our wedding date, Katrina's Pappou (grandfather) James, traveled to Greece to marry her (grandmother) Catherine. Since we also happen to be a James (Jimmy) and a Catherine (Katrina), it felt right to honor them in this way.
While we were in Athens this summer, we visited the church they were married in!
Why June 14?
Originally, we thought getting married on Friday the 13th would be rad, but the Greek Orthodox calendar does not allow for a wedding (or any celebration for that matter) to happen on a fasting day or during a fasting period. This includes every Wednesday & Friday of the year. So we bumped it to Saturday the 14th, which happens to be Katrina's maternal grandparents' wedding anniversary as well!
